ServicePoint

The SQL based service management application, ServicePoint, is designed for use with either CounterPoint SQL from Radiant Systems or Great Plains Dynamics from Microsoft Business Solutions.  The latest fully functional ServicePoint demos are available for download on our web site Demo Library.  You can always get the latest release notes for ServicePoint directly from our Document Archives .  Here are the most notable recent ServicePoint developments.

• Schedule time conflict resolution - Processing has been added to ServicePoint to check for conflicting schedules for a technician or other resource.  Turning this feature on will warn of overlapping time when a labor item is added or updated.
• "Save and continue" - Implement logic in all ServicePoint windows to save changes, but not clear the screen.  This can be used to save any work done so far, and allows further maintenance to be performed.
• Aggregate meters - Add the ability to roll up meters for contract overage billing.  Using this functionality allows multiple pieces of equipment to be rolled up to a single usage amount for billing calculation.
• New report: Preventive maintenance due - A new report and has been added to allow reporting on PM's coming due, based on the user defined PM schedules.

Focus

Focus continues to be the leading service management software for use with Passport and CounterPoint V7.

• Focus version 8.5 - We've put a lid on development of Focus version, and we'll be shipping it soon.  Contact us if you'd like a peek at the release notes.
• Contract invoice reprint - A new function to allow reprinting of Contract invoices has been added.  Any contract billing, even those prior to this update, may be recreated.
• Focus Workgroups option - Enabling this option will allow users to process service work, segregated by separate divisions, stores, geographical areas, etc.  The workgroups option will allow a user to be defined to work in a specific group, or the see all service work in the company, depending on their setup.  This is an additionally purchased option to Focus.
• Export invoice history to Excel - A format option has been added to the Service Invoice History report to create a tab delimited file with column headings.  The resulting data can be opened directly in Excel for detailed analysis.

PartSmart

The interface application creates a seamless interface from this popular electronic parts catalog and lookup program to CP SQL and ServicePoint.  PartSmart allows a user to call up diagrams and parts lists for equipment models.  Inventory levels can be checked for selected components, and parts pick lists can easily be created simply by dragging and dropping from the illustrated diagram.  Our interface program lets PartSmart retrieve inventory information from CounterPoint SQL, including item status information, quantities on hand, bin location, pricing, and more.  With the push of a button, a parts list created in PartSmart can be easily transferred to a CounterPoint order, or to a ServicePoint work order as task parts.
