If you haven't already done so, it's time to start planning your RealWorld replacement. The software's been out of production for close to 10 years and techs who are able to support it are getting fewer all the time.
For our RealWorld users, CCS recommends migrating to Passport Business Software (PBS). PBS is built on RealWorld, but has moved well beyond with new features and additions. Still - for anyone familiar with RealWorld - the learning curve is low (a great cost saver). Migrating also takes advantage of newer hardware technology that isn't available for RealWorld.
Recent new or most often requested features include:
- General Ledger: Recreate financials from previous years with access to multi-year Journal entries.
- Payroll: Direct Deposit - multiple financial institutions and multiple accounts for each employee.
- Lookup and email capability for any PBS-based .pdf document.
- ACH for processing AP disbursements electronically.
- Positive Pay: Only previously approved A/P and Payroll checks will be disbursed - a great fraud
deterrent.
