IPhone Security Hole
The recent detection of a security hole in the software that runs IPhone's, IPad's, and Ipod Touch devices, proves the fallacy of a long held belief that Apple products were immune to security issues.
It was recently found that hackers could access data stored on the devices by putting a specially crafted Adobe PDF file with hidden code onto the device when the user accesses any infected site. As of this writing, Apple doesn't have a fix for this flaw.
Ironically, this is the same kind of hack that has been used previously (and recently) on Microsoft operating systems.
The main point here is... this proves that no operating system, or electronic device that uses software is immune to viruses, spy-ware, and/or other hacking activities.
Even when one uses due diligence to protect themselves, they may still be at risk from getting some sort of viral or spy-ware infection. Often, this may come from some unexpected, or unimagined place.
