Changes in Payroll Magnetic Media Filing

The IRS now requires that ALL Magnetic Media filers submit their Magnetic W2 Information electronically via an upload to their website.   The IRS provides FREE SOFTWARE called AccuWage, that you can download and install on your PC. 

This software allows you to pre-check your magnetic W2 files before submitting them to the IRS.   Using this  tool allows you to make corrections to the file before it is submitted.  Generally, this results in less problems after the fact,  and potentially fewer future IRS audits...
